Snow Woman

Here's a pic my friend Annie sent from Spain, me building a mujer de nieve in the mountains north of Alicante. Spot the Canadian. There were originally five of us throwing snowballs and enjoying the sudden fall of snow, but after ten minutes the rest of them went indoors to get warm. I stayed out for a good hour or more building my lady. The others kept looking out the windows and going, "is she still out there? Brrrr." Ha ha. You can take the girl out of Canada but you can't take Canada out of the girl. Meanwhile, I hear that climate change is, in fact, destroying the Canadian winter and many were bereft of snow at Christmas. Does that mean we shall no longer be able to sing mon pays ce n'est pas un pays, c'est l'hiver?

ooh there is still LOTS of snow here in Alberta!
It is gorgeous here- big globe skies and glittering snow- nothing bettter than being out and coming in to a warm beverage (and possibly a good book too!)
cheers!

Oh thank goodness! I couldn't imagine Canada without snow. And what a lovely description.

Ah, but that's Alberta, the lucky ducks. Back in Qu├ębec, we had to wait until a week ago to get some real snow. Now it looks like a real Canadian winter. Gilles Vigneault will still be able to sing that song...
