Happy to see a US judge has dealt a blow to this piece of thievery. But the truth is writers are earning less now per book than they used to, especially with the advent of e-books. Our contracts have not caught up with the new technology. Sigh. I've said it before. Artists are the coffee-pickers of the culture industry. It's the packagers and the distributors who carve up the big bucks.
